We provide a "non-touristy", local experience so you feel like a native Chicagoan. Our tour begins in the heart of Downtown and explores the Near North neighborhoods of Gold Coast, Old Town, and Lincoln Park.

Each guided, narrated tour includes mouth-watering, classic food tastings from one-of-a-kind specialty food shops and ethnic eateries as well as an insider's glimpse of Chicago -- the rich history, treasured architecture, dazzling entertainment offerings, and neighborhood restaurants.

After the tour, explore Chicago with confidence and take advantage of its full spectrum of cuisine, entertainment, and cultural offerings on and off-the-beaten-path.

Departure Point:

• In front of Ashkenaz Deli- 12 E Cedar St. (1/4 block east of the N State St / N Rush St / E Cedar St three-way intersection). Ashkenaz Deli is next door to 'Big Bowl' restaurant. Please arrive 20 minutes prior. Detailed directions will be on your confirmation voucher.

• No Hotel pick-up is available for this tour or activity

Return Details:

• The tour does not finish at the same starting point, but there are plenty of transit options made available to you at the end point to get you back.

Important:

• Participants will be on their feet and outdoors for most of the 3 hours, so please wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes. Flip-flops, high heels, and dress-shoes are not recommended.

• Shopping during the tour is prohibited in an effort to stay on our food-tasting schedule.

Discounts for Children:

• Children under the age of 7 are free of coast.

Your credit card will be charged the total amount of products and services selected at time of booking. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover Card.

Confirmation & Travel Voucher

This tour must be booked at least 24 hours in advance of your travel date. Your confirmation for this product will be received within 12-24 hours subject to availability. For every confirmed booking you will receive an e-mail with a link to your E-Ticket Voucher. Print vouchers on your home/ office printer. Please present this E-Ticket voucher to the Tour Leader. Only one voucher will be created per tour or activity for all travelers.

Cancellation and No Show Policy

Cancellations within 24 hours of the tour are charged in full. Cancellations prior to 24 hours are charged a minimum $10.00 per person administration fee. We charge for NO SHOWS. No Shows on tour dates are charged 100%. Some specific tours and activities have a higher cancellation fee due to the limited space available.

Recommended for all CHICAGO Food Planet Tours:

- Participants are urged to bring cameras and recorders. There are plenty of photo opportunities during the tour.
- Participants are urged to bring sun glasses, sun screen, and/or a hat during the summer months.

Weather: Tours are held rain or shine. Gratuities and Souvenirs are not included.
