The Vespa© motor scooters our company offers are agile and "fly" much like the wasp; but on the surface of the planet not through the air. The vehicles exhibit a beauty and elegance that cannot be duplicated; similar to their insect counterpart.

Motor scooters are a prevalent mode of transportation throughout Europe, due to high fuel prices and minimal parking. Visiting Chicago and renting a scooter as your primary mode of transportation allows you access and flexibility that an automobile does not offer.

With a 360 degree view of the city, there is no better way to tour Chicago than on a Vespa. Locals, regular visitors and newcomers are all welcome to discover the city from a different vantage point.

The renter must be 18 years of age to rent any of our motorized vehicles less than 50CC's.

Driving Restrictions:

Vehicles are allowed to be operated in the State of Illinois only. In addition, vehicles less than 50CC's do not travel at the minimum rate of speed to be operated on the expressway system.

Additional Drivers:

You may add a single person to a rental. Additional driver must be present at the time of the rental and supply all of the same information as the original renter.

Miles:

All rentals come with unlimited mileage.

Helmets:

All renters are provided with and are required to wear head protection.

Locking:

Vehicles are released with additional locking devices to deter theft. Locks are expected to be used whenever the vehicle is parked or left unattended for any period of time.

Damage Deposit Requirements:

A $300 Damage deposit will be required for motorized vehicles. This deposit will be charged to the same credit card that is used to reserve the vehicle. An amount equal to the deposit requirement will be placed onto the credit card which will limit the maximum credit amount for a period of 2-5 business days. After the rental period expires, the authorization will be canceled and full credit will be restated.

Items Required for the Rental Date:

On the day of your rental, you will need to provide the following: 1) a valid driver's license (for vehicles over 50CC's motorcycle endorsement is required) and 2) the credit card used to reserve the vehicle.

Orientation:

Windy City Vespa & Bicycle Rental provides a thorough overview of the vehicle that will be rented. Generally this overview takes about 10-15 minutes and is required for all renters, no matter their personal experience.

Renters Driving Record:

Tickets are not accepted as proof of driver's license. You must have a valid driver's license to rent any vehicle, no exceptions. If renter has a negative driving record that includes, but not limited to, DUI, DWI, having a revoked license, license suspension or any other criminal conviction within the last 5 years he/she may not be eligible to rent a vehicle. We generate a complete background check on every renter.

Windy City Vespa DOES offer a delivery service with in the Chicago land area at an additional charge.

Return Details:

Vespa's should be returned to the original departure point.

Payment:

Your credit card will be charged the total amount of products and services selected at time of booking. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover Card.

Confirmation & Travel Voucher

For every confirmed booking you will receive an e-mail with a link to your E-Ticket Voucher. Print vouchers on your home/ office printer. Please present this E-Ticket voucher at the Box Office. Only one voucher will be created per tour or activity for all travelers.

This tour must be booked at least 24 hours in advance of your travel date. Your confirmation for this product will be received within 12-24 hours subject to availability.

Cancellation and No Show Policy

Cancellations within 72 hours of the tour are charged in full. Cancellations prior to 72 hours are charged a minimum $10.00 per person administration fee. We charge for NO SHOWS. No Shows on tour dates are charged 100%. Some specific tours and activities have a higher cancellation fee due to the limited space available.

Recommended for all tours in CHICAGO: Comfortable shoes, extra layer of warm clothing, hats, visors and sunglasses.

Meals, Gratuities and Souvenirs are not included.

Windy City Vespa and TourCorp Inc. assume no responsibility for delays caused by accidents, breakdown, bad conditions of roads, trails, bays, ocean, harbors, and any other conditions beyond control, in addition to insufficient numbers of passengers. Not responsible for loss or damage to property.

On some tours and activities the size of the vehicle depends on the number of passengers booked for that particular day. Tour companies reserve the right to change the size of the vehicle.
