Chicago Lunch Cruise - Odyssey - Monday - Friday

A year round favorite, Odyssey's casual lunch cruise brunch is the perfect way to experience Chicago's skyline views from a unique vantage point.
The Odyssey experience begins as you board the largest luxury yacht at Navy Pier. After a quick stop for a commemorative boarding photo, one of our host's will seat you at your private table. Relax with a beverage, or tour the ships three indoor dining rooms.

May I bring my own camera on board?
Guests are more than welcome to bring their own camera for personal pictures aboard the ship. In addition, as you are boarding, the ship's photographer records the moment for your entire party. As you depart, you'll find your boarding photo ready for purchase.

Are children allowed on the dinner cruise?
Children are welcome on the cruise; however, a child rate is not available for our dinner cruises. Children under 3 are complimentary and a 50% discount is offered for children between the ages of 3 and 11 on our Brunch and Lunch Cruises.

Is there a coat check where my jacket and briefcase may be kept during the cruise?
Coat checks are available when needed. Your server would be more than happy to check any items for you at the beginning of your cruise.

What is our cruise route?
Weather permitting, Odyssey cruises south along the lake shore, past the Adler Planetarium, north to Evanston, then returns south to Navy Pier. All the while, Odyssey offers unmatched views of our world-famous skyline, from the Sears Tower, the John Hancock, to the Museum campus, Aon Center and more.

How far off shore does the ship travel?
The ship is licensed to travel as far as 3 miles off shore, however, our cruise route typically remains only one mile off shore.

Can I bring a birthday cake on-board?
Small cakes that do not require refrigeration are allowed to be brought on board. Your server will place the cake in our pantry until it is ready to be cut and served.

What is the dress attire?
Dinner Cruises:
Jackets are strongly recommended for men and cocktail attire for women.

Lunch, Brunch or Midday Cruises:
We recommend dressy-casual attire, such as nice slacks and collared shirts.

No jeans, shorts, sneakers, tank tops, or halter tops will be allowed.

What type of entertainment do you have?
Odyssey offers an inviting dance floor and a variety of live music from classic jazz on our brunch cruise to contemporary favorites from a five-piece band on our dinner cruise.

Dinner Cruises Guests aboard the Sapphire and Topaz Decks will enjoy our high-energy dance bands. Playing softer standards throughout the earlier part of the evening. There is something for every one, from Motown to disco, from 80's ballads to swing, and from Latin to jazz standards.

Our Amethyst deck will feature piano and vocals, performing classical, jazz, show tunes, and pop selections.

Lunch Cruises The Sapphire and Topaz Decks will have three piece bands with vocalists offering a broad repertoire.

Midnight Cruises At midnight, all cruises feature live jazz entertainment.

Is the vessel handicap accessible?
Yes, the vessel is handicap accessible. Once your party arrives, our marine crew can assist you as you embark our boarding ramp. Please indicate when making your reservation that you have handicap guests in your party.

Do you offer Kosher meals?
Yes we do offer a Kosher Meal option on our lunch and dinner cruises. We order from an outside establishment who delivers the meal to us fresh that day/evening. There is an additional $50.00 charge on top of the ticket price. The meal typically consists of a plated chicken dish with vegetables. We can do fresh fruit for your dessert option. You will be served your Kosher Meal in place our standard 4-course meal at your private table. Please notify your Reservation Agent of any kosher requirements at least 48 hours in advance of your event.

Do you offer vegetarian meals?
Yes, our chef would be happy to prepare a vegetarian option, simply notify your server. If you have any vegans in your party, please notify your Reservation Agent to make special arrangements.

Are there restrooms on board?
Yes, restrooms are located on every enclosed deck on the ship.

Is there pre-assigned seating?
As you board, our captain and marine crew will direct you to your deck. From there, our hostess will show you to your assigned table(s).

How many people may be seated at one table?
Anywhere from 2-10 people may be seated at one table, depending on the total number of individuals on the ship during a given cruise. If your party requires more than one table, we will ensure that they are located next to each other.

Where do I pick up my tickets?
Your tickets will be at the Odyssey Ticket Booth, located next to the ship. For your convenience, this booth opens at least one hour prior to the scheduled boarding time.

What kind of security check is required when I pick up my tickets?
Your photo identification and reservation number are required at our Ticket Booth when picking up your tickets.

How soon will my party begin eating on our cruise?
Once on your deck, our hostess will greet you and escort you to your private table where your wait staff will introduce themselves and give you the opportunity to decide for yourself how to pace your service. Serving may begin immediately.

What if it rains?
Odyssey will cruise in most weather conditions all-year round. Each enclosed deck is climate controlled and the weather will not affect your cruise. In the case of severe weather conditions or upon the direction of the U.S. Coast Guard, the ship will remain dockside for the length of the event.

South on Lake Shore Drive. Exit Illinois Street/Grand Avenue. Proceed to next light. Turn left on Illinois. Follow signs to Navy Pier.

From Points Northwest:
Take I-90/94 to Ohio Street. Then east on Ohio, south on Fairbanks to Illinois. East on Illinois to Navy Pier.

From Points South:
North on Lake Shore Drive. Exit Illinois Street/Grand Avenue. Bear to the right. Follow signs to Navy Pier.

From Points Southwest:
Take I-55 to Lake Shore Drive. Then go north on Lake Shore Drive. Exit Illinois Street/Grand Avenue. Bear to the right. Follow signs to Navy Pier.

From Points West:
Take I-290 East, Follow signs onto Congress Parkway. Turn left (North) onto Columbus Dr. Turn right (East) At Illinois. Follow signs to Navy Pier.

PARKING: As traffic in and around Navy Pier can be unpredictable, we recommend you allow ample time for parking. The ship promptly leaves at the scheduled cruise time. Come early. Enjoy the pier.

Primary Parking Information:
Primary public parking is located in an 1800-space lot on Navy Pier, directly across from Odyssey II. If possible, park on the 1st level closest to door 4.

In the event that the Navy Pier parking lot is filled to capacity, a number of lots within 2 blocks of Navy Pier offer convenient parking. Also a free trolley shuttle runs between State Street and the pier along Illinois and Grand Avenues.

Navy Pier

Entertaining more than 8.2 million visitors annually, Navy Pier offers an entertaining backdrop for any Odyssey cruise. 50 acres of parks, promenades, shops, and restaurants. A 150-foot-high Ferris wheel. 3D movies at the Navy Pier IMAX Theatre. And the most recent addition, the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, modeled after London's Swan Theatre.
